Phuket Elephant Sanctuary is an educational experience, and highly recommended as an alternative to riding elephants. The sanctuary is home to a group of retired elephants who are allowed to roam freely amongst its grounds. You’ll spend the day following the elephants and observing them in their natural environment. It’s an awe-inspiring experience, especially for the fact that they get to walk alongside these gentle giants.

Located in Phuket Town, the Phuket Trickeye Museum is a fun attraction for the entire family. The museum features interactive 3D paintings, and great photography opportunities for your holiday memories. The museum is centrally located in town, within walking distance of the charming Old Town district. This is a colorful place to explore while in town. Make sure to buy some local souvenirs and handicrafts, and drop in for refreshments at any of the cafes.

Another attraction not far from town that is guaranteed to please the whole family is Baan Teelanka. Essentially, Baan Teelanka is an upside-down house where all of the house furnishings are on the roof instead of the floor! It’s quirky, fun and guaranteed to make the entire family smile! Don’t miss out on the maze garden at the back of Baan Teelanka. There’s also an escape room at Baan Teelanka. Known as The Chamber of Secrets, you have to find clues and solve puzzles before you can escape.
