Rawai Beach is situated in the far south of Phuket. While very picturesque with a casuarina-fringed beach and views towards nearby islands, the sea is not ideal for swimming with plenty of reefs that make it hard to swim at low tide. However, nearby Nai Harn and Ya Nui are two of the best beaches on the island, and are both just 5 minutes drive.
Although not as popular as the west coast beach areas among tourists, Rawai is a very popular area for expats and holiday home buyers. This is reflected in the huge number of amenities that cater to foreigners in the area, including a wide variety of restaurants, cafes, bars, gyms, shops, and supermarkets.
Properties for sale in Rawai often offer better value than properties along the west coast, especially for buyers less focussed on rental returns such as retirees and full-time expats.
